There comes a time when someone has to step in and promote a campaign for the right reasons, the right way. Too many are being taken advantage of and remain uneducated about both addiction and the recovery process. As a result, lives are still being lost, daily. Regardless of any opinions, these lives being lost are sons and daughters, mothers and fathers, and they are all people that matter and deserve to live.
In today’s society, money increases greed and greed causes for mishandling of lives and leaving loved ones uncared for when they need to be cared for the most. Vulnerability, lack of information, not knowing the right questions to ask and often uncertain of where to turn, families and friends are desperate to find hope and help by giving their loved ones’ lives over to the hands of strangers.
As a result of all of the above, we have resolved to taking our message of hope to the streets. We are a web based entity solely devoted to sharing information to everyone. Education is the key to bring change. No one is above learning and the need has never been greater for finding a way to reach people on foot, face-to-face, up close and personal. With nearly every single life now being touched and affected in some way by addiction, it is our goal to reach as many as possible. Not only are those suffering at present in need but so too are the younger generations.
There is no ‘one’ way to recover. Recovery defined is both the ability to return to a normal state of health, mind, or strength and the action or process of regaining possession or control of something lost or stolen. Therefore, understanding undeniably that each of us is different, is to equally understand that each path in life is also different. There is no better time than the present to purposely reach out to those in need and in their times of need.
It is important to let others know there are people who will listen and there are people that understand. Compassion is still alive, even in today’s world where it seems it has all too often been lost. Every moment matters. Every life is important. Knowing that knowledge is power is the very reason we believe that a powerful way to make a difference is to go out into the world and push to give more.
By purchasing an RV, Operation Clean Recovery will be able to give back to communities nationwide. It does not take thousands upon thousands of unprecedented dollars to do this. It does not take the best of what is availabe. It is possible to make a way regardless of the size, grandiosity, or luxuries that too many demand. We are merely simple people with a big dream, aware that our dream is at present bigger than we are. In order to make a difference, all that is needed is a simplistic mode and means of doing so.
While we know that the internet is the best way to reach people and even in our sharing of information across multiple social media platforms, we still know that we can do more. Sometimes, people need people – it is just a basic human need. Whether receiving information they may not have had or known to search for, or by having someone stand behind them and speaking for them, we are adamant on giving back as much as we possibly can. However, we cannot do this alone.
For loved ones suffering, loved ones lost, and for those we can prevent from being stuck in the chaos that addiction brings with it, we want to be able to touch as many lives as possible. While we are not fond of having to ask of anyone to give to our cause, we are dually aware that our cause has a purpose. This is a campaign encompassed by people helping people.
All donors will recieve a gift for helping us in our cause. Every cent collected in our cause goes into giving back to others. Our largest donors will reserve a memorial for loved ones lost. There is no greater way to give back than by memorializing and placing importance on each life that mattered. This gift includes having loved ones at the forefront of our cause. We cannot emphasize enough the present need for a call to action. We cannot reach others in every way possible, without being available to reach people in every way possible.
Please help us help others. We cannot do this alone and many are suffering alone, feeling alone, and not knowing where to turn. The only way to bring a change is to be the change – this is the founding basis of Operation Clean Recovery.
