Hiding in shadows in my darkest hour,
I begin to shake, cry, and cower.
I turn to Him for His reassuring light,
On my knees praying for His insight.
I surround myself with His Holy verse,
Continuing to pray, He lifts this curse.
I find solace in the harmony of His song,
Cradled in His arms is where I belong.
The Lord of hope, understanding, and peace,
To me, His wonders and grace never cease.
His gracious name meaning many things,
It is only to Him for which my heart clings.
The one and only thing that brings me rest,
Is knowing He is there and for that, I am blessed.
I am blanketed in His everlasting peace,
Where the horrors of my mind find release.
